About VerdictStats

What VerdictStats Is

VerdictStats indexes federal and state enforcement actions into structured, searchable pages. Each page represents a single enforcement case — documenting the agency involved, the respondent, the alleged violations, the penalty amount, and the outcome. The goal is to make public enforcement data findable and readable without requiring access to agency docket systems.

Data Sources

All data displayed on VerdictStats is sourced exclusively from official government agency press releases. Data comes from the following six sources:

No third-party data vendors or unofficial compilations are used. If an enforcement action does not appear in an official agency press release, it is not indexed on this site.

How Data Is Processed

Case summaries are generated by Google Gemini Flash 2.0 (via OpenRouter) using official agency press release text as the only input. The model is constrained to use hedging language — including terms such as "appears," "may," "allegedly," and "according to [agency]" — and is explicitly prohibited from generating invented numbers, names, dates, or legal conclusions.

AI summaries are provided for convenience only. Each case page links to the official agency source URL. You should always verify case details against the official source before relying on any information presented here.
