Cynthia Sirmans allegedly stole thousands of dollars from a Florida senior. According to Attorney General Ashley Moody, Sirmans used the victim’s credit card while the senior spent time in the hospital due to a life-threatening illness, charging more than $47,000 to the victim’s card over a four-month period. Sirmans allegedly made more than 100 charges to the victim’s credit card from January to April, purchasing gift cards and spending nearly $6,000 on five radio-controlled cars. Sirmans admitted to making the transactions on the victim’s card and using the victim’s bank account to pay off charges in order to hide the transactions.
