IL-AG v. Delvya Harris

Delvya Harris was sentenced to two years in prison for stealing more than $18,000 in rent payments while employed by a property management company contracted by the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA). Harris also admitted to fraudulently obtaining more than $41,000 in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans by falsely claiming that she owned a business. According to IL-AG, Harris stole 50 money orders CHA tenants used to pay rent, worth $18,215, and deposited them into her personal bank account. According to Raoul’s office, Harris also received a total of just over $41,000 from two fraudulent PPP loan applications and applied for and received an advance on a COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) for a business that did not exist.
